FORGING

Forging is carried out freehand, without the use of closed dies, and requires a particular skill from the operator, who must be able to work the red-hot material with precision and experience.

For this reason, the human factor remains absolutely essential.

S.F.A. S.r.l. is capable of forging any type of steel, producing either single pieces based on drawings or small series.

At the end of the forging process, each piece can be rough-machined and, upon request, subjected to further internal inspections, such as liquid penetrant testing, ultrasonic testing, and hardness testing.

Heat treatments are performed externally, in collaboration with specialised and certified companies.

Our production capacity ranges from a minimum of 4–5 kg to a maximum of 700–800 kg per individual piece.
