FORGING

Forging is performed freehand (without special closed molds) and requires a particular skill of the man who handles the hot material, for this reason the human factor is still absolutely essential. SFA srl has the ability to forge any type of steel, from the most common (C20 - C45) to the most valuable (34NiCrMo16 - 41CrAlMo7 - Stainless steel - Tool steels) both in single pieces to design and in small series. At the end of the processing of each individual forged and possibly rough-hewn piece, on request, a further check is carried out on site with penetrating liquids, ultrasonic examination and hardness tests, and off-site, in this case using specialized companies, heat treatments are also carried out. The forging department is equipped to forge rings and discs up to a diameter of 700 - 800 mm, plates and flat or round bars up to 3500 mm.

Our production capacity starts from a minimum of 4-5 Kg up to a maximum of 1500 Kg.
